Bobby Daniel serves as Pastor of First Baptist, joining the staff in August 2006.  He is a native of New Iberia, LA and is "Hog Wild" about the...LSU TIGERS!  He met his wife Brigitte while in college when they both served as BSU Summer Missionaries in Africa, and they think they have the two greatest kids in the world in Regan and Caleb. 

After earning his Bachelor's degree in History at William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS he went on to earn his M.Div. in Missions, Evangelism and Church growth at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. KY.  When he is not cheering for his Bayou Bengals he likes to read, study US History, listen to Christian music and watch political debate shows while enjoying a STRONG cup of coffee. 

His life verse is Gal. 2:20 and his favorite quote comes from the 17th Century Puritan pastor Richard Baxter, "I preached as never sure to preach again; and as a dying man to dying men."

Scott Glass is the Worship Leader at First Baptist Church and is accompanied on Sunday mornings on piano by his wife Melanie.  Scott and Melanie are the proud parents of a son, Greyson, had have been an active part of life at First Baptist for some time now. Along with leading us in worship, Melanie also serves as a Sunday School teacher.

When not working at and around First Baptist Church, Scott is in the wood work business and Melanie is giving a shot at being a stay at home mom (AKA Domestic Diva) and helping Scott with his business.

You can't get far without someone who knows what is going on, and that person for us is Margaret Johnson.  Mrs. Maggie serves as Secretary at First Baptist, a position she has held since May 2003.  She and her husband David, who is one of our newly elected deacons, moved here from Oklahoma where she served in a similar capacity at First Sourthern Baptist Church of Del City, OK for 30 years. 

When she is not cruising around in her Mustang Convertible or serving in one of her various ministry roles at First Baptist she can probably be found cheering on her beloved Oklahoma State Cowboys.  She and David have been married for 48 years and have 2 children, 3 grandchildren and 1 perfect great-granddaughter...to go along with their 125 lb. rottweiler.
